So much to do today to get ready for Dragon*Con. *runs around pulling hair* I think I make nearly this same post every year at this time.

I have laundry to do, packing lists to make, the actual packing, my schedule to finish, garbage to gather and put out, dishes to wash and I have to go to the bank.

Plus I only slept 3 hours last night and I could really use a nap.

I just put my baby girl on the bus for her first day of 6th grade. My baby is a middle schooler. How is this possible?

I hope she does okay. I mean, I know she'll be fine as far as her grades go but she has problems moving from one subject to another in a timely manner. This could be a problem with only three minutes between classes.

I had a surprisingly good evening at work last night at the end of a surprisingly good weekend. Especially since it was the end of the second of back-to-back 16 hour shifts. Definitely could have been much worse.

I spent much of the day thinking about the fact that I leave for Dragon*Con in three days. Ugh. I haven't even thought about what to pack or what I want to get signed, haven't planned out the whole trip to within an inch of it's life as usual. Things never go according to plan but that doesn't stop me from trying. It comforts me.

Speaking of which, the kid and I are going to be doing our annual dinner and pin run at the Hard Rock Cafe. We're aiming for around 10PM, after we get done with our touristy stuff for the day and pick up our con badges. Anyone who is around at that time is welcome to join us.

I thought I had more to say but I really need to get ready to go back to work.

Holy shit! First they add Nathan Fillion to the Dragon*Con line up two days ago and now, sometime in the last hour or so, they have added Alan Tudyk!

I hated that we lost Adam Baldwin but I was more than happy to have Nathan as a replacement. This is just like a huge bonus! Whee!
